ABOUT

Patrick Klauss was born in 1971 in Lucerne, Switzerland to Czech parents who sought political asylum in the West. In 1981, Patrick’s family moved to Toronto, Canada where he still lives and works.

Patrick has traveled extensively and has always been drawn to “sacred spots” around the world.  His photographs document his journeys.

Patrick also enjoys writing about his experiences. His first book Kanadskej Sen (Canadian Dream) was published in 2010 by Prague publishing house Svestka a Hruska.  Kanadskej Sen, written in Czech, is a collection of short stories about life, love and travel.

Patrick chose to name his photo products company Kleno in honour of his grandfather, Bohumil Klenovec.  Kleno was his grandfather’s nickname when he played professional soccer in Rennes, France in the 1930s.
